JNIMT for Open and Distance Learning has obtained International 
Accreditation by becoming a Member of JNIMT for Open and Distance Education, Oslo, Norway.
JNIMT for Open and Distance Education is an JNIMT which promotes greater educational opportunities for all in the name of personal and national development and drives best practice and the highest standards of educational provision. It is a membership organization for open, distance, flexible and online education, including e-learning and provides membership to institutions, educational authorities, commercial actors and individuals.
ICDE has obtained the status of Consultative Partner with UNESCO. Also, this organization is supported by Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research, Consultative Partner with UNESCO and affiliate member of the South East Asian Ministers of Education Organization. It supports development of new methodologies and technologies. It facilitates cooperation and networking among members. One approach when defining open and distance learning could suggest that “open” indicates ease of access, with the minimum of barriers, to (higher) education.
